DIRECTIONSEast of San Diego on Highway 78 about 35 miles East of Julian. Also it is 20 miles West of Highway 86.
DESCRIPTIONThe Ocotillo Wells State Vehicular Recreation Area has over 80,000 acres of desert land for off road use. This is open to 4WD vehicles, ATVs, Dune Buggies and Motorcycles.

Camping is allowed for up to 30 days per year. Vault toilets, shade ramadas, fire pits and picnic tables are available at the Quarry, Main Street and Holmes camping areas.

Water is NOT available.
